Are you fashion savvy and keen to keep up with current trends?
The universal colour system, Pantone, chooses 12 different colours each season for men and women’s fashion along with 4 core classics and a ‘colour of the year’.
From pastels and denim to plastics and trench coats, here are some things to look out for this season:
Ultra Violet was named this year’s ‘colour of the year’. Dramatically provocative and thoughtful, Ultra Violet is symbolic of Prince, David Bowie and Jimi Hendrix – the colour shows expression and individuality and paves the way for things to come.
Pretty pastels – think triple scoop ice cream. Select every pastel in sight and wear those ice cream shades one on top of another. Layering your pastels will ensure you are bang-on-trend.
It’s all about double denim. Dark or indigo, denim this spring is more structured and tailored than previously seen. Watch out for belted pieces and tie waists.
Transparency or plastic is right out there this spring. Watch out for the revamped platform crocs! Love them or loathe them they made their way on to the catwalk. As for the plastic jacket, what’s not to like? Absolutely perfect for our British summers.
Trench coats were the star of the show. Simple, classic and will transform any outfit. Be it casual daytime or an evening out, trench coats are an essential and fully versatile.
Satin is a major fabric this season. Its fluidity and lightness makes it a comfortable choice for both day and night. You will look and feel good as the sheen will elevate your silhouette, enhancing your figure and ensuring you ooze confidence.
