Autumn Winter Trends

Autumn/winter 2019 is a seriously sassy season. OTT prints, clashing checks, florals, Argyll knits, sparkles and ‘fluff’ ruffles and puffers.

One trend we are loving this season is ‘army’ – think chunky boots and khaki.

Autumn winter florals are here in abundance. Look for subtle backgrounds with bright florals for a high end look. We love all things midi length.

Shoes and accessories to watch out for:

  • BIG bags! At last, we can say goodbye to squeezing our necessities into small, in-practical bags!
  • Pointed shoes
  • Waist belts around anything, from knits to coats and jackets
  • Choker necklaces were seen on all the catwalks, large or dainty or tie some grosgrain ribbon around your neck and you are ready to go!
  • Tights: from prints to sparkles or plain opaque there is something for us all

We have seen prints clashing with prints before but this season sees check on check, have fun and mix colours.

Think ruffles… big and lots of them! Think 1920 lampshade for inspiration. Top tip wear your hair tied back to add to the drama!

Argyll knits are no longer just for the golf course! Wear with a stylish skirt for a cosy look. Feeling comfortable is always a bonus!

Corduroy suiting has been quietly sneaking in for the last 6 months and the fashion journos predict we’ will be seeing a lot more of it.

Planning your Christmas party look? Have fun with sparkles. Think draped dresses and fringing, and if that’s not your thing look out for feathered and ‘fluff’ for added drama.

Neons will take you into autumn inter, fluorescent green goes so well with brown and neon yellow is great with denim.

One thing is for sure – A/W19 is really set to be fun!
