The pink walk Walk Report...

The day started off with the team members meeting at Coco’s Southwater. Joined by numerous friends and relatives invited along to boost morale and add to the colour of the day.
No one could have guessed that it was a Sunday morning but for the monotone mumblings of the eager minded youngsters exchanging stories of the previous night's activities.
It all started with a talk from Chris Connors, looking rather dashing in his Breast Cancer UK outfit, supporting the cause visually for all to see.
They began the walk with a group photo  in front of “Iggy” the lovable dinosaur statue situated at the heart of Lintot Square outside the Coco’s Southwater salon.
There were 3 main supervisors Chris at the front, Ed in the middle and Lloyd at the back, all giving support to anyone who needed it.
The walk began along the Downs Link in the direction of Barns Green. Everyone was up-beat and really going at a good pace, but whether that was the walk or because they were promised a pub lunch is uncertain.
After walking for around an hour we  arrived at The Queens Head pub, where we all tucked into a hearty roast dinner - just what the team needed to keep us going for the remainder of the journey. The walk continued and although  anxious to hear that we may be coming across some bullocks (young bulls) in the on-coming fields. we kept strong! That was despite my advice “don’t run!”, which was not particularily reassuring.
Continuing  regardless, we walked through the woods abundant in wildlife and the beautiful surroundings of nature. After another hour of brisk walking we finally arrived to the sight of houses and the echoes of urban lifestyle. We had made it, and  sat down and awaited the final few at the back of the group with Lloyd to arrive. Everyone was assembled for a final group photo, thus concluding the pink walk.

I think everyone who participated in the walk thoroughly enjoyed themselves and all-in-all it was a very successful day.
