COCO’S Billingshurst and Breast Cancer UK are working together to raise money and awareness for breast cancer. This year's fund-raising event was the “Pink Walk” from the Southwater salon to our new Billingshurst salon completed on October 19th.

In June 2007 three of COCO’S team members completed the London – Brighton cycle race - COCO’S raised £695 for the British Heart Foundation. In 2006 the COCO’S Southwater team raised the fantastic sum of £2,004 for Breast Cancer Research by putting on a fashion show headed by Sammy Ayres at a local venue in Horsham well supported by many clients.
Chris came close to realising a lifetime ambition in 2006 by almost completing a climb of Mount Everest.
Breast Cancer UK was formed in April 1999 to represent UK consumer views in breast cancer research, and became a registered charity in August 2001.
Breast Cancer UK aims to identify and influence the research agenda in the areas of causes, prevention, and treatment of breast cancer, with particular emphasis on the involvement of those with breast cancer in the research process.
Very few people have been untouched by cancer in their lives. Breast cancer alone affects 44,100 women in the U.K each year. Unlike other cancers, this cancer seems to hit the headlines more than others. With high profile sufferers including Kylie Minogue, her ordeal shows that it affects millions of people with this killing disease.
